About Parsy

Grocery bills are the household expense people understand least. The total is on the card statement; what is in it is not anywhere.

Parsy exists to close that gap. You photograph the receipt, and the app turns it into an item-level record you can actually look at: what you bought, what it cost, what it cost last time, and — once enough households have bought the same thing — what it usually costs at that store.

We built it as a subscription rather than an advertising business on purpose. Receipt data is intimate, and there is no version of “free” that does not eventually involve selling it. The privacy commitments on this site are not a differentiator we invented for marketing; they are the reason the product is shaped the way it is. You can read them in the Privacy Policy.
